What is a school counselor?
- School Counselors are certified/licensed educators who improve student success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program.
- School Counselors help all students apply academic achievement strategies, manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills, and plan for postsecondary options (higher education, military, work force).
- School Counselors can provide short-term counseling and support to students for academic or personal concerns, but make referrals to outside agencies for long-term support.

How can I reach a school counselor?
- Students can request to meet with a school counselor on e-hallpass throughout the day or ask a teacher to request a meeting with a counselor.
