Every student at Elkview Middle School receives an iPad!

This is thanks to the Kanawha County Board of Education's Learning 20/20 Initiative.

Teachers at Elkview are able to utilize iPads daily.

IMPORTANT: If a student does not have his or her iPad, the assignment WILL be provided in an alternate manner (on paper, via laptop, etc.).

In order for students to receive an iPad initially, there are forms provided by Kanawha County Schools that they (and their parents) have to fill out.

They are as follows:

iPad Waiver: This is optional iPad insurance that costs $40 per year for protection from expenses due to loss/damage of the students' iPad. More information is available by clicking the link below: iPad Waiver.

Acceptable Use Form: Use of technology resources within Kanawha County Schools is a privilege. Not a right. This form is an agreement that students understand what is expected of them in terms of technology usage via Kanawha County Schools and the West Virginia Board of Education. Kanawha County Schools Student Technology Handbook, Procedures, and Information: This contains important information regarding students' KCS issued iPad. Pages 10 (Parent/Student Responsibilities) & 11 (Parent/Student Technology Agreement) are especially important and will be returned to Elkview Middle. Student Internet Email Account: Once filled out, this form can provide a student with an email account through the West Virginia Department of Education. More information is available by clicking the link below: Student Internet Email Account.
